Good morning lovelies! How’s your week? Mine’s been good. Settling into this routine of work-from-home life and kind of loving it. Days are flying past at breakneck speed, and I’m not accomplishing as much on my to-do list as my taskmaster self usually enjoys…but even that, I’m enjoying. Leaving some tasks unfinished, for another day is a good practice for me. I’m weaving in more self-care: walks, meditation, yoga, reading as my day and brain needs and allows it. This freedom to explore new rituals is creating new thoughts, ideas and connections. My first draft of concept + business plan will be completed by February 15 – so this pace won’t last long. But I’m enjoying it while I can, just BEING and letting my brain wander and my schedule be a little freer than this single-mom-type-A-recovering perfectionist usually allows.
3 good things for you this Thursday:
These quilts came across my inbox this week and I’m obsessed. I would use it more as art than quilt. In love with the graphic designs, the quirky color combos AND that they are made in an airstream. The idea of figuring out how to travel, soak inspiration from your surroundings and then make that into tangible product?!? Amaze.
By now, you know I’m a sucker for a good quote. My favorite this week is above. This current pace of life is helping me to fall in love with everything around me…slowness has a way of doing that. Of forcing you to focus on the moment, and fall in love with every single thing. A song. My daughter (again and again). An old book. A new friend. All the possibilities of opening yourself up to falling in love with as many things + people…good stuff starts from love.
As I mentioned last week, I’m becoming obsessed with bringing more color into my space. Contemplating a painted office inspired by these color combos. What think you?
